Nestled in the outskirts of Aarhus is a tiny club house and a long pier that stretches into the ocean.
Here, a community of winter bathers strip away their clothes in the dark of morning.
Each person seeks something different, but the experience is the same.
Approximately 400 bathers share a daily ritual of entering the ocean at dawn.
Some swims are long, some swims are short — but most members would prefer not to ever miss a day.
Some call it an addiction, some call it healing; most find this experience so gratifying that they end up returning for decades.
This is the Ballehage Bath Club.
